The edifice of the relationship between Josephine and me is a town, and buildings have been toppling regularly over the course of the past few months. None of it worth mentioning. Really. Neither the good or the bad parts of it. We're at a crossroads now. She has decided to go into therapy at my urging. Either we start building something real, or the whole thing slides, because I am no longer willing to hold onto this relationship which has become unpredictable and abusive.
It's not like I'm holding onto pride expressing doubts about the future of our relationship. I've been regularly pleading for her to return to the relationship every time. I've been pushed beyond the edge and I've still been holding on. I've tolerated what I had never tolerated before.
So now, we're outside of a relationship and we're going to have to work to put it together again. Everything is going to have to change.
