I drink as an expression of anger towards the ‘rents. They make me feel a certain way and I express how I feel through drinking. How does drinking constitute a feeling? How does it constitute expression? It doesn’t, but it acts like a magnifier to help me really feel it and keep in touch with the feeling. It’s a coping mechanism, like taking a wooden plank out back and smacking it against a tree or the side of the house. It blows off steam. I don’t expect anyone to understand, there are too many pre-conceptions attached to alcohol and drinking.
